They required a solution to be able to move a pallet from a stack of pallets, on the ground in a packaging areas ready for loading.

They needed to provide a safe and ergonomic solution that the operators would use, to remove the constant issue of back problems incurred due to awkward lifting of the pallets manually.

A vacuum lifter was specified as the ideal solution for this application. This was mounted on a Jib Crane which provided enough coverage whilst having the added bonus of utilising minimal floor space in a congested packaging area.

A lifting jib was manufactured to provide more horizontal access to the pallets. During commissioning, it was found that  the settings were not right throughout all positions of the vacuum lifter travel.

The unit was brought back to our workshop where we worked with the overseas manufacturer to test, and adjust the vacuum lifter under simulated lifting conditions to get all the settings correct for the clients exact application, before returning the equipment to site.

This resulted in a positive outcome that meet the client's expectation.
